A Home for Individual Residential Care (HIRC) is the smallest, most versatile and
private of all residential care facilities. Located in licensed private residences and
limited to 2 beds, they allow for exceptional personal attention to the needs and
desires of residents. Caregiver(s) are present 24/7 to meet the resident’s needs with
a caregiver-to-resident ratio of at least 1-to-2. Care is provided in a safe, comfortable
and home-like environment. A HIRC may accept residents having a wide variety of
conditions which could include, but are not limited to mild dementia,
those receiving hospice services, Of all the licensed facilities,
this venue is the closest to actually being home.
